I can give you documentation that John Crum son of Adam Crum did not marry Barbara Hoffman. John Henry Crum Jr. B- Feb. 10,1776 - D- May 26,1846 in Frederick County., Maryland, M- Barbara Ann (Hoffman) Crum, April 10 or Oct 27, 1802 in the state of Maryland, B- May 20, 1779. Henry Crum Surety Bond, Barbara Hoffman married John Henry Crum. They lived and died in Frederick County Maryland. I have documentation showing their ties back to Fredereick County Virginia. This Henry Crum husband of Barbara, was a son Of Henry Crum Senior twin brother of Christian Crum and son of Anthony Crum of Frederick County Virginia. I have been to the graveyard where Henry Born Feb. 10, 1776, departed this life May 26, 1846 & Barbara are buried. I also have a deed with both of their names on it, tying Henry back to the estate settlement of Henry Crum Senior in Frederick County Virginia. That deed reads: Henry Crum and Barbara Crum his wife of Frederick County, Md. to George Young, their interest in lot # 7 of the division of Henry Crum Decd. Recorded in deed book 56 dated Dec. 30, 1829 Frederick County Virginia. Also check the census, I do not believe you will find a John Crum in the 1820, 1830 or 1840 census of Frederick County Maryland. I am afraid I can not help you with the marriage of John Crum son of Adam, but I believe I would look in Kentucky or West Virginia, which I am sure you already have. Have you tried locating all John Crum's living in the United states in 1850. If his wife's name was Barbara and they were both living you might perhaps find them that way. Good luck in your research efforts. Notify Administrator about this message?
