Hi: LaFayette was the half brother of my great-grandfather, Taylor Crum. (You can see what I have about the Crums on my website at http://genealogy.homepage.dk)
I am sorry I can't answer your question about Margaret's parents. But I have a question for you: Do you have any further information about William Crum and Lucinda Hubbard. William Crum is our current "brick wall" - we just cannot find out exactly where he was born and who his parents were. I am hoping you may have some clues?
If you have any questions you think I might be able to help with, please just ask! I was at the National Archives about 2 years ago and found all kinds of material there about Lafayette and his injury at Gettysberg, etc. It was fantastic to hold the real documents from the Civil War years in my hands!
