I will share some seemingly related information. My grandfather was Isaac Crum b.Aug 15,1854 Ky,or W.Va. His father was also Isaac Crum, b. Va 1826. Isaac Sr married 1st, Francis Porter, and 2nd, Margaret (Peggy) Cross. Isaac and Frances had Sara, b. VA 1843,James Edwin b.Ohio 1851 and Isaac Jr b.1854. Isaac Sr and Peggy had Alonzo,Henry,Mary Margaret,Albert and Wilbert, and can be found in the 1860 census of Gallia Co. Ohio. The family moved to Missouri in the late 1800's.
My mother, Maude Crum said her father (Isaac Jr) was "Scotch Irish" and came from Ohio. While it may seem that I have some detailed information,(above)this is all the information I have, and I have not been able to trace them back to any specific Virginia family.
Anyone seeing a connection (or correction) here please let me know. I have hit a brick
wall in this search.
Thanks,
Bryant Mansfield
