Marianne,

While I agree with Winston on three major migrations of Crum's, my own research differs slightly as to the 2nd path.

The first path, through PA>OH>IN and westward, appears started by John and Paul Crum. The lines are being researched by Jim N. Crum, who I believe is on line, but I don't have his address in front of me.

The second line, from Adam, Godfrey and Anthony, is mainly VA/WVA>KY>IN>IL and west.

the third appears to be from David Crum, and runs from SC>GA>AL>FL and south.

Of course nothing is perfect and both route 2 and 3 have parts that go into TN and then either up to KY or out to TX.

Only more research will tell for sure.
