My Crews/Cruise family is traced back to David
Crews who married Drucilla Jones in Halifax Co.
VA in 1790. This David later moved to Patrick Co.
and after Drucilla's death, married Sarah Martin.
I have quite an extensive file on his descendants,
but I have never been able to prove his ancestors.
It is my belief that his parents were John and Sarah
Redman Crews who moved from Charlotte Co. Va to
Fayette Co. KY before 1790. Fayette Co. records
are not easy to come by and I have not had the
opportunity to visit Lexington, KY as yet. But
it is on my list of things to do!
Is there someone in particular you are researching?
I have many of the reference books for Halifax,
Patrick, Lunenburg and would be pleased to assist
you.
