Joseph Crozier & Mary Trimble
I am researching the Crozier (Crozer?) surname as one of my ancestors was a Hannah Crozier who moved from Dauphin County, PA to Ohio. She left a letter. It appears from other people's research that she was descended from a Joseph Crozier who m. Mary Trimble and came from Ireland to Pennsyvlania. There is mention of their marriage is Westmoreland County in 1785.They supposedly had two sons James about which I know nothing and Samuel I. Crozier who was supposedly born 1786 in Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania and married Mary Lehr.Hannah was their child and in her letter talks about her mother being a "Lare" (Lehr).Hannah was born in 1819 and died in Ohio in 1903.It appears that the Crozer family came into American in about 1723 from Ireland < Scotland < France. It appears this Joseph would have been born about 1760 so he would not seem to tie into that Crozer line in 1723 but I can't help but wonder if there is not some link.A later immigrant of the family?
If there are any Crozier/Crozer researchers who would like to help with this I would be very grateful.
