Further info: another Jonas Crowther, and I now believe the one who married Ann Mitchell, was the son of Jonas Crowther and Hannah Thorp. He had siblings John b 1771, Nanny b 1772, Sally b 1774, Henry b 1776, a second John presumably the first one died, b 1778 and Jonas himself b abt 1780 - but I haven't yet found his birth record. He is listed in the 1811 Sowerby census. Final sibling was Thorp Crowther b abt 1871, also no birth record, but my 4x GGF.
I have the children of Jonas and Ann if you want them.
