I don't have much information on the English Crowsons, but the American Crowsons are descended from English ones. There has been much speculation on the origin of the name. Mike Crowson in London has done much research on this, and we think the name might have been previously spelled Crowdson or Croudson. There is speculation, but no proof, of German origins, with a spelling similar to Krausen. Email me at xplorer3@aol.com if you would like Mike's email address.
