Hello Phyllis,
David Faverette Crowson was my gr-gr-grandfather. He was married to my gr-gr-grandmother Sarah Louisa Moore. David F. Crowson was born September 1842, in Talledega Co., AL. He died on Dec. 13, 1933 in Bell Meade, McLennan Co., TX. He lived with his daughter, Georgie Beulah Crowson Devlin and her husband, William Harry Devlin at the time of his death. David & Sarah were living with the Devlin's in Jackson Co., TX in 1910. After Sarah died March 11, 1914, David continued to live with his daughter. In 1920, they were in Hill Co., TX and in 1930 they were living in McLennan Co., TX. He is not buried in Jackson Co. by his wife, but in McLennan Co., TX. I will ask my mother for the name of the cemetery as I can't recall it right now.
Sarah Louisa Moore was born abt. 1846 in Alabama to Charles Moore and Mary Jane Starnes and moved to Smith Co., TX by 1850 from Mobile, AL. David & Sarah Crowson had the following children: 1.Almon David, born c. 1865, died 1866; 2. Mary Ann born Dec. 23, 1866, died c. 1889; 3. Lou Ella (nickname: Lula) born July 27, 1875, died 1936; 4. Ethel Nevada born April 24, 1878, died Aug. 22, 1967 ( she was my great-grandmother); 5. Jim David (nickname: Daisy)born Feb. 27, 1882, died 1949; 6. Georgia Beulah (nickname: Georgie)born Oct. 1887, died Oct. 31, 1965.
