My wife is Nancy Crownover, a granddaughter of the son William listed in the obituary.

The Winchester Herald Times [Tennessee],p1, Abstracted by Judy Henley Phillips - Mrs. Minerva Jane "Jenny" CHERRY CROWNOVER, 94,member of a pioneer Franklin Co. family, died Friday at her home in the Roark's Cove Community.She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Emily NUGENT CHERRY.She was born April 18, 1861, within ½ mile of the farm home in which she was living at the time of her death.Mrs. CROWNOVER's father enlisted as a private in Capt. William CHRISTIAN's East Tenn. Milita in the second war with Great Britain and the American Colonies.The late Capt. CHERRY fought with General Jackson in the Battle of New Orleans and was granted a tract of land in Franklin County for his service.When she celebrated her 92nd birthday, Mrs. CROWNOVER was thought to be the only living daughter of a veteran of the War of 1812.Her husband, the late Hugh L. CROWNOVER, died in 1905.
