Hello from NZ I was recently at the 2007 Crowley Clan Gathering in Clonakilty,Cork (www.crowleyclan.com)and was in Kilmichael.
For some years I have been researching my Great GrandDad Daniel Crowley born Kilmichael,(Kilmihil) Cork. I have now been twice to Kilmichael and the Parish Priest there has been very helpful with records. He has most records now online from the 1800s onwards and available. Originally I saw the records in the old registers which are terribly precious.
My Daniels father was a CORNELIUS CROWLEY and I originally located his name on the 1850 Griffith Valuations for the parish of Kilmichael. The townlands name was GURRENCREAGH.Daniel had a brother Jeremiah who came to NZ in the late 1880s. If I can be of any assistance don't hesitate to contact me on the above email. Blessings Pauline C-Z
