Hi Peg
Very interesting family. I'm from Canada near Toronto and find my crowley ancesters have very similar names as your clan.
From Ireland came Thomas married to Ellen Leahy. Children
were David, Mick'l, Tim, Mary, Bart, Pat, Thomas, Ellen, Will'm and John. Thomas came over in 1825 with2 brothers and married here. He died iin 1852.
They were of course Farmers for several generations in the township of Otonabee near the city of Peterboro. Where in Canada did your family originate from? What date did they come over from Ireland?
I have a death notice in family records of a William Crowley's death in Chicago in 1919. Might there be a connection? Always hoping!
