In response to your inquiry about William A. Crowley, I have some information that might interest you.He is my great-grandfather and was born in Mt. Holly, VT Jan 14, 1819, moved to Winnebago Co., IL in 1837, married Eliza Ann Campbell Feb 3, 1841, and they had seven children. This and related information about William appear in a book entitled "The Pioneers of Winnebago and Boone Counties, Illinois" by Katherine E. Rowland and Published by Gateway Press, Inc, Baltimore, 1990.
In a census enumerated on Aug 9, 1860, William and his family lived in the town or township of Howard in the County of Winnebago in Illinois (P.O. Durand). At some time after that the family moved to Iowa and settled in and around Galva, IA where members of the family procured and operated farms.William A. Crowley died July 28, 1892 in Galva. He is buried in the Galva cemetery as are many of his family.
I have additional information William, Eliza and their children. If you have further interest you can reach me at [email protected]. I am interested in knowing the basis for your inquiry.
