I don't find your Tabitha Crowell in my book "John Crowe & His Descendants" - unfortunately they are never as interested in the females who don't carry on the name after they marry!

I did see one Tabitha who is a possibility. She was born 9-8-1743, daughter of Judah Crowell (b. 5-6-1703) and Tabitha Nickerson, married 9-6-1733. Judah Crowell "of Bass Ponds" and family removed to Barrington, RI. Judah's son Thomas married Martha Coleman and is daughter Elizabeth married Reuben Baxter. Are these names familiar to you? I know it's a reach, but thought I'd mention it since you mentioned Rhode Island. Good luck!
PS I don't recall hearing we were connected to Quaker Oats!
