John Crowe was one of the origional proprietors of the Town of Yarmouth on Cape Cod he inhabited what is now part of East Dennis. His actual place of burial is unknown as family legend has it that he was burried secretly to prevent the knowledge of his death from passing to the Indians.
The deed for what is now the towns of Yarmouth and Dennis signed by Mashantampaine Sagamor Doe is in the records of the Mass. State Historical society, Listing Anthony Thatcher, John Crowe and Thomas Howes as purchasers.
