Alan, Your Robert Anderson Crowell (born Sept 1867
or 1870) was son of Elias/Elisha G. D. Crowell (born 1826/
8 NC) and his second wife Ann E. ___ (born 1834 GA). Elias
married first on 18 Feb 1848 in DeKalb Co., GA to
Elizabeth Moody (born 1830 GA). Elias G.D. is probably
the son of Peter Crowell (died before 4 March 1833) of
Henry Co., GA and probably a Miss Rape. Peter was
a probable son of Samuel Crowell and Margaret Sell
of Mecklenburg/Union Co., NC. Samuel was son of Simon
Crowell and Elizabeth ___. Simon was son of Peter
Crowell of 1763 Mecklenburg Co., NC will. (I am
descended from Simon's brother William who died 1822
in Bedford Co., TN).
According to my records Robert A. Crowell married ca
1899 Mary F. Eaton (born July 1870 GA) daughter of
Josiah F. Eaton and Frances M. ____. They had the
following children(according to 1900 Chattoga Co., GA
and 1910 Floyd Co., GA census reports:
1. Homer G. Crowell (born Feb 1892 GA)
2. Mary L. Crowell (born Nov 1894 GA)
3. James Eddie Crowell (born Aug 1896 GA)
4. Gracie F. Crowell (born Aug 1897 GA)
5. one more child (died? before 1910)
