I am pretty much stuck on Samuel Crowell also. My Samuel Crowell was born in 1837 in Warren County, New Jersey. He married Mary Hetzel November 3, 1850. They both died in Johnstown, Weld County, Colorado. (I have seen their grave markers.) I have found them in the 1870 Federal census living in Columbia, Blairstown township, Warren County, New Jersey. I have seen another Samuel Crowell listed in the 1870 Federal census and living in Morris County, New Jersey. I don't have any information about him since he is not my line, but I do know that he is listed in the Federal census for that year. If you want more information let me know.
