To anyone interested in researching the Crowells of English origin, we now have a FaceBook group "Crowell Genealogy" open to all who want to join. So far, most of us trace our descent from the immigrant John Crowe who came from Norfolk, England, around 1636 to Charlestown, founding Yarmouth on Cape Cod circa 1639. His descendants and those of son Yelverton Crowell spread out from the Cape to Nova Scotia, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Long Island to name a few locations. Descendants of other English Crowell families and those who haven't figured out their pedigree are very welcome to join us.
It seems to work best if you visit the page and send a join request. If that doesn't work, please email me and I will add you; usually, I have to Friend you, then add you to the group, and then De-Friend you!
