Hi Andrea,
I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on the correct wife of Thomas Crowell b. 7 Nov 1731 that appears in your posting. He was the son of John Crowell. I always had Thomas' wife as Mercy Stewart (Stuart) m. on 25 June 1753 and there are many respectable genealogical sources for this. However, I recently have seen than many people give his wife as Thankful Baker m. 24 Jan 1754, and there are many good sources to also document this. No one seems to give him as having both these wives, just one or the other. I am totally confused now and want to ask you if you have any proof of my leaning toward one or the other, and why all this confusion?
