Crowell Family Genealogy Forum

I am sorry to say that I do not have good information on your Benjamin or, really, the Yelverton descendants who moved to Cape May (and, evidently, on to North Carolina).
When I began this genealogy "hobby," I tried to focus just on descendants of John of Yarmouth, following my own direct line. Yelverton's descendants seemed too complicated (and numerous) to start with them. Lately I see that there's no making sense of any of it without knowing the various groups of Crowells in New England, including those I'm not related to! I do have a line from Yelverton through his daughter Elishua who married Gifford.
Anyway, over the years I have saved information people have sent me about Yelverton's descendants but have only recently started going through the material, much of which doesn't include cites or sources. It is daunting, made more complicated by some confusion amongst the various Edward Crowells and by what appear to be myths and legends regarding the Cromwells.
I envy you your possession of First Settlers of Piscataway and Woodbridge, New Jersey! That should keep you busy. Does it have a genealogical section on the Crowells?
