I have two booklets on the Crowells. One is called John Crowe and His Descendants, A Genealogy by Levi Crowell, New York, Thomas Y. Crowell and Co., 1903. It has 109 pages. The other one is Library of Cape Cod History & Genealogy, The Crowell Family of Yarmouth Descendants of Yelverton, Yarmouthport, Mass.: C.W. Swift, Publisher and Printer, The "Register" Press, 1913. No. 71. It has 13 pages. It states in the booklet by Levi Crowell that Yelverton's descendants are not included in his book. Both are different.
All my Crowells come from Yelverton. But, one of my "great" aunts married Christopher Crowell from John Crowe's descendants. That would be Sarah Matthews. Sarah's [b. May 1702] parents were
William Matthews d. 29 Sep 1737
m. Hannah Howes b. Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA d. 1 Jan 1698.
William Matthews parents were
Samuel Matthews b. May 1647 Yarmouth
m. Elizabeth Crowell b. 9 May 1649 Yarmouth
Samuel's parents
James Matthews d. 1668
m. Sarah Hedge b. abt. 1645 Yarmouth
Sarah's father was William Hedge.
Elizabeth Crowell is the daughter of Yelverton Crowell.
I do have Hannah Howes ancestors if you would like them.
