Andrea - Thanks so much for replying -

Actually, I found the Levi Crowell book on Google and I got a 1912 publication (No 103 - Library of Cape Cod History & Genealogy) entitled "The Crowell Families of Yarmouth" - just a magazine article length - that clearly got their information from Levi Crowell's book and was most concerned with information about living Crowells at that time. But I still have some gaps - and can't differentiate between the multiple Nathan Crowells that appear to have lived in the Barnstable vicinity at the same time as illustrated by the multiple census appearances.

Do you have any information about Hannah Hall (m. Nathan (1766-1815) - or Sarah Matthews m. Cristopher Crowell(1698-1781)? I know I can work out the parentage of Deborah Sears, but I'm not so sure about these two. However, because of the naming of Mary Crocker Crowell, I'm just assuming that Hannah Hall's mother was a Crocker. And no sources that I've found so far have nothing on them except Hannah's death date.

I have a CD of Yarmouth town records and much of that information is on there - but there were so many Crowells it was difficult at first to make the right corrections. And of course, they're not very creative with given names.

Thanks again for getting back to me - if you run into any of this stuff I'd love to hear it - and if I find it I'll pass it on.

Lynne
