There are three marriage dates for a Rody Crowell in Nash Co NC.
“Rody Crowell, married Thelma Williams, April 17, 1854”
“Thomas Williamson appears to have married Rody Crowell twice.
The First marriage date was 3 February 1853,
the second 18 April 1854.”
The first date is reportedly from a Family Bible (A Study of the Barbee-Crowell Families).
The third date (which is only one day off the first date) is apparently from a recorded marriage bond.
The second date is from a source unknown.
The following are in the Barbee-Crowell book as unplaced Crowells from a family Bible (apparently all from Nash Co NC):
1. Elizabeth Luter Crowell, married Allen T. Williams, March 2, 1827
2. Elmina R. Crowell, married Alfred Thompson, May 10, 1836
3. Lizzy Crowell, married Henry Flowers March 18, 1834
4. Celia Crowell, married James F. Mercer, February 12, 1858
5. Martha Crowell, married Micajah Taylor, August 13, 1838
6. Sally Crowell, married William Strickland, June 5, 1851
7. Rody Crowell, married Thelma Williams, April 17, 1854
No 4. Celia Crowell was apparently the mother of No 7. Rhody Crowell who married Thomas Williamson and then Celia Crowell later married James F. Mercer. No 3. Lizzy Crowell and No 2. Elmina Crowell (after they were married) lived on adjoining properties in 1849.
