How do I get the DNA testing? What are the rates? I'm not sure if we are from the German (Grauel) or English (Crowell) lines. I may have family in KY (1838-1850), but I have not yet confirmed this older genealogy (done in the 1980s and waiting to get my hands on it). I'm not sure of its accuracy yet, but if it is correct it leans toward the German line (because of the locale) and dead ends with James A. Crowell or John S. Crowell (both of whom had fathers from NJ, 1880 Census). That area had both English and German Crowell families, but most were German. My family thinks we are English though.
