Robin,
Sorry I haven't responded earlier. I've had some 'puter problems and devoted time to assembling my research notes on NC.
I'm not familiar with the works (Hist. of NC, Wheeler, VolII. p.199), and the book "First Settlers of Piscataway and Woodbrige", p.1552.

Yes, it would be helpful if you would send the names of children of John CROWELL brother of Ed,Sr. As you pointed out, Ed,Sr. died in either NJ or MA. He was buried in Ma. I've heard a couple of stories about the 2 Cromwell's that changed their name Before the ship docked in NJ. There is some speculation about the amount of time they stayed in NJ, and various things they accomplished in NJ, and when a depature for NC, took place. Especially, because Mary and the her chidren moved from Woodbridge, after the death of Edward,Sr. It was during this time that I lost trace of them, while they were still very young.
I have no information about the children of Ed,Sr's brother John,Jr b.1642; d.1753. He also had a son named John. It is the members of this family ( I think you are referring to) as the children of John.
But, whichever John it is that you have information about his children, I would be very happy to have this information.
Please send what you have.
Thank You,
David J. Crowell
