I don't know if this will help, but in "John Crowe and his Descendants", there lists a Zeno Crowell (David, Jonathan, Thomas, John, Thomas, John) b. 10, 1800 m. Desire Long.
They had two children named Zeno - the first, born 5/11/1827 and died 2/3/1838 and the second, born 8/2/1839 who eventually married Lydia Sherman. No descendants are listed, but maybe it will give you a place to look.
