Hi Rob:

According to my dad M.H. (Marvin Harris) Crowell, his grandfather was a full blood German from Germany. His dads name was Baxter (shorty) Crowell. Baxter had brothers and sisters, one brother was named Marshall and he lived in California; He could whittle almost anything. I have a pair of wire plyers that will open and close that he whittled out of one piece of wood.
