In Ireland, County Tipperary in 1860, Michael Crowe's son Edmond Edward Crowe was born. In 1881 that twenty one year old lad, known as Ned, arrived on the "SS St Vincent" at Port Adelaide in South Australia. Ned Crowe soon settled in the portside suburb of Queenstown with his wife Mary Gertrude George and they had fifteen children.
