Evidence that Bartholomew "Batt" Crowder was a Rev. War. patriot found, courtesy of Idalia Crowder Hicks.

Reference of Batt Crowder in Mecklenburg Co., VA, giving 1.235 beef for Continental Use. Patriot, PC April 9, 1782, O.B. 5, page 126.

Bartholomew Crowder used "BATT" as his name on most of his documents and he signed using BC initials as his mark. His son Bartholomew used "B" as his mark.
