Thankyou Patricia, I was just going to post the following questions and you filled in a major Blank Dec.5th, 2008 Crowders in Missouri A few problems with ages and marriage for Henrietta B. Combs ( wife of Joseph P. Crowder) Born in 1845 and was Age 15 in 1860 Census and would be Age 25 in 1870 Census living in Moberly, Randolf Co. Missouri (not age 21 as recorded). The 1880 Census for Grape Grove, Ray County, Missouri has Henrietta’s Birth as 1841 giving her age then as being 39. This dating must be wrong as she would have been 35. She Died in 1889 at age 44, 10 months, 9 days as recorded on Headstone in Antioch Cemetery, Richmond, Missouri. A Joseph P. Crowder married a Harriet Combs Age 22 (?), Oct.23,1863 in Monroe County, Missouri, Henrietta Combs would have been Age 18? Also in the 1880 Census there is a “Bittie” ( Clementine ) Age 24 Born 1856. This makes father Joseph P. Crowder Age 25 when she was born and Henrietta Age 11 years old. Is there possibly an earlier Marriage with Joesph P. Crowder or could Clementine be a niece/cousin taken into the family? Lots of Questions ?... Ted Larson Notify Administrator about this message?
