First, a big thanks again to Patricia Crowder Yaw for all the hard work she's done creating the Events List and making it available for Crowder researchers.
I am interested in Stephen Crowder c1743-1748 born in VA (in Amelia Co? or Lunenburg Co?) and said to be the son of James Crowder c1725 (wife Mary Unknown) originally of Amelia Co, Lunenburg Co, VA, and later died in Spartenburg Co, NC, c1807.
Is anyone researching Stephen and his descendants? I have no wife for Stephen and don't when or where he married but likely in VA.
I have a Stephen Crowder on the 1786 NC state census in Surry Co, NC. He would be about 38-43 yrs old, has a wife, and seemingly five children and another old male in household.
Then I think he reappears in 1800 in Buncombe Co, NC, just he and his wife and perhaps one younger son left in the household.
Does anyone out there have more info on Stephen? Any help appreciated. Cheryl Kemp
