Hello "Cousin" Martha Crowder Harvell was my great-grandmother. Her daughter, Mary Alice Harvell Hosmer was my grand-mother. I can not help you with your question, but I do have a bit of information you may enjoy hearing. My mother often told me stories of her Uncle Sol when I was a litte girl. It seems he was quite a character and spent some time living in Texas and often got "chased" by the Indians. They never caught him because he had a "house" built in the ground. It seems the Indians could never find him and finally left him along becaue they thought he must be some sort of spirit who could dissapear!! He finally lived peaceable amoung them. Mother said he rode a big white horse and was a wonderful story teller. Uncle Sol would return to Alabama only a few times. I do not know when/where he died or is buried. One other thing my Mother told me about him. She said he wrote the words to the song "Home, Home on the Range". You may not know that one, but I remember singing it as a girl in school! Gene Autrey sang it in one of his movies. Since I know he (Solomon) lived amoung the Indians, it seems possible his brother was with him...what do you think? Anyway, it is always very nice to find a "real cousin". I hope to hear more from you. Oh, do you you have the parents of Martha? Jayne Rogers
