I am seeking information on the family of Abel CROWDER (b.1823) who married Caroline
DRUMMOND(b. 1820). In the 1860 census they are listed as living at Barber's Creek, Craig County. VA. Their children include John L., (b. 1849), Elizabeth M.(b. 1851), Sarah J.,(b. 1853) Isaac Abel, (b. 1857). Also listed is a George R. DRUMMOND, age 17, a laborer. He is most likely related to Caroline, maybe a younger brother or cousin. Isaac Able, my husband's grandfather, married Millie CRAFT in 1888 in Craig County. I have not been able to find any birth record of my husband's father Frank Harrison CROWDER. I do know that as a young man he moved to WV and married Mary (Mae) SCAGGS in Logan County, WV in 1916. Any information pertaining to this branch of the CROWDER family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
