Shane, Thank you so much for adding your information...however, I think I must agree with Ronnie...my grandfather, Marvin Monroe Crowder, recited his male lineage to my brothers and me just a couple of years prior to his death...as he stated it: George and William were father and son who came to Lauderdale County, Tennessee from the hills in the east. (We always took that to mean either Virginia or Eastern Tennessee) William's son was Jim (his father) Jim's son was Monroe (my grandfather) Monroe's son was Grover (my dad) It may be entirely possible that William and Mandy lived in Arkansas and that Jim may have been born there... I do feel that your branch of the Crowder's are related to our branch...too much similiarity in the family locations and migratory routes. Notify Administrator about this message?
