Hello Yvonne:
Your Frederick Crowder is one of several sons of James Crowder Sr, born ca 1725 Prince George VA. I descend from another son, James Jr born 1755 in Amelia Co. Va.
Frederick was on the 1790 US Census of Va showing 1 male over 16 and 1 male under 16 with a total of 8 in the home. He was living in the 96 District, Union Co.
I can account for the following children of Frederick and Milly: Samuel, born 29 Sep 1768 in VA; Rebecca, born 1774, Union Co SC; Mary, born 1775, Union Co SC; Frederick L, born 1790, Union Co SC and James H born 1795, Union Co SC. Daughter Rebecca married Abel White and died 29 Sep 1839 in Fayette Co, AL (I haven't found this record yet). Daughter Mary married someone named Berry. Son Frederick L has two marriages: 1. Phoebe Hill, in Putnam Co, GA. Son James H was married 1) Catherine hamrick, 1 Sep 1823 Jones Co GA and 2) Buny Tillery, 29 Aug 1826. James H died after 1850 in Pike Co Al.
Frederick Crowder's will record is in Monroe Co Ga, Book A 1824-47 Page 12.
Frederick's brother, James Jr. was ordained by Francis Asbury on Jan 1, 1805. (This record comes directly from Francis Asbury's diary.)
Frederick L Crowder who married Phoebe Hill had a son Waid L Crowder who married Mary M Ogletree, 26 Jan 1847 in Monroe Co Ga. Waid died young.
