Hi. I would like to know if anyone is descended from or has info on the Anderson Crowder that is listed on the 1820 and 1830 census of Rockingham Co, NC. I'm still searching for the parents and siblings of my g-g-grandfather, Anderson S. Crowder, who was born in Guilford Co., NC, Jan. 9, 1834. I have not been able to determine if there is any connection between these two Andersons, or if there were any other Crowder families in the area at that time. My g-g-grandfather was living with Nathaniel Simpson in Grant Co., KY at the time of the 1850 census. He married Priscilla Simpson, grand-neice of Nathaniel, in 1855 and lived the rest of his life in the Grant and Pendleton Co. area of KY. I believe the connection between the Crowders and the Simpsons goes back to Guilford Co. Anderson and Priscilla had 12 children, 7 that lived to adulthood: William, John, David, Susan, Matilda, Hattie, and Alonzo. Anderson most likely died in 1879/80. Any info will be most appreciated!
