Hi,
Yes, your Reuben is my Martha's older brother. Did you have that Martha's middle name was Greer? I have always wondered if that is a family last name. As for their half brother Henry, since he was the only child of Philip and his second wife Rachel Sanders I wonder if he went to live with Rachel's side of the family? It's a possibility? All I have about Henry is that he was born in Green County, Kentucky and went to East Tennessee when a boy and remained there. That's it. As to the father of Philip Crowder I have a Abraham Crowder (born 30 August 1730 in Bristol, Prince George, Virginia), with his father being Abraham Crowder (born Abt 1698 in Charles City, Virginia), and his father as Bartholomew O. Crowder (born Abt 1670 in Prince George, Virginia). I do not have this documented or proven it is just what I have gotten off the internet from other people doing this line.
For your Reuben Crowder I have that he married Nancy Michael on 12 November 1804 in Washington County, Kentucky and that he moved to Sangamon County, Illinois in 1825 and that he had 15 children and he died 08 September 1835 near Springfield, Illinois.
I have his birthplace as Petersburg, Virginia but no date. I would love to have his birth date if you have it and where he is buried. It was great to hear from you!!!!!
Amy
