There is a website that offers freepages and has built in folders for genealogy. History, photos, news etc. It's a rival of Genealogy.com, so I won't post it here. You can use it as a storage place for common research and invite users to post their information. Not soliciting for them, but can let you know by email if you want that type of forum.
I participate in one for McClure researchers. There are megabytes of information from dozens of researchers on several types of forums.
Better not say too much else about, don't imagine Genealogy.com likes that too much. ;)
Family Tree Maker, which is associated with this forum, offers free webpages and the formats of FTM is available to publish on line. What some people have done is to make one large family tree with source notes etc.
Anyway, there it is.
