Hi, Mary. This line is of interest to me.

I am descended out of the Eastham family of Tennessee and Virginia. I ALSO am descended from the Crowder family of Wake Co., NC. This is the way it works. I don't know if my Crowders are related to Richard Crowder who married Mary Eastham.

George W. Eastham, supposed to be brother to Mary Eastham Crowder, married Mary Ann Allen in TN. His daughter Sarah B. Eastham, b. 1825 married James Monroe Fite in DeKalb Co., TN. They moved to Arkansas after 1850 and settled in Dallas Co., Ark. They had son Nathaniel Fite there in 1857. He married Ellen R. Crowder of Ivy, Dallas Co., Ark in 1885. Ellen's family moved to Arkansas from Wake Co., NC. Her father William A. Crowder was born in NC in 1844. His parents were Richard A. and Elizabeth Adams Crowder. Richard born 1806 Wake Co., NC, son of Thomas and Fanny Rhodes Crowder of Wake Co., NC. This is as far back as this line goes. Nathaniel Fite and Ellen R. Crowder were the parents of my great grandmother Mary Evelyn Fite Riggan.

So you can see that possibly Nathaniel's wife might have been related to his aunt's husband in Tennessee!! Amazing, isn't it? I've been digging into the Eastham line with interest and haven't found any other documentation that George W. Eastham is the son of James and Ann Farmer Eastham of Lunenburg Co., VA. Did they leave any records mentioning him in their family? I'd like to piece this together if possible.
