Hi Terry,
I am tracing my Crowder line which goes to Rockingham Co. NC. My gggrandfather was Anderson Scott Crowder, b. 1834 in Rockingham Co. d. 1880 in Pendleton Co. KY. His parents are my brick wall. I have found an 1857 land deed saying an Anderson Crowder died intestate in Rockingham Co. His children's names, listed as his heirs at law to the land, are my only info about him. The children were Jeremiah, Jacob, Samuel, Anderson, Jane, Polly, Patsy, and Isabella. My guess is that my gggrandfather is the son Anderson, but I can't prove that yet. In trying to follow the other sons for information, I found that Samuel married Margret Lockett and moved to Caswell Co., Yanceyville Twp., by 1870. I believe Margaret was from Caswell Co. The last info I have on Samuel is the 1910 census. He was 84 yrs old, living with a daughter and son-in-law in Danville City, Pittsylvania Co. VA. If you have connections to this Samuel Crowder you can e-mail me at fromholdfam@home.com.

Cheryl
