I have more on George W. Crowder. He was called Washington (his middle name) and was
born in Kentucky in 1823 or 1824. Ann Eliza Wimberly was born in either Illinois or Kentucky about 1830 and died after 1890. His parents were Mathew P. Crowder and Elizabeth Scott. After Elizabeth died he married Jane Laughlin Aug 11, 1836. Mathew P. lived in Monroe Township, Mahaska County, Iowa around
January 1845. We have found info on a Philip Crowder that we believe is Mathew P. but we are not sure. Still do not know where George Washington Crowder and Ann Eliza Wimberly Crowder are buried. Her parents were Guilford Wimberly and Margaret Alexander.
