In my research I have found two letters and an obit on my line from Botetourt Va that confirmed they were from the Mecklenburg area and not connected to (Crider/Kinder). I know this is confusing to all of us. Now that I have actually seen that census and confirmed the connection there is no doubt. I have found all 13 children as was stated in the letter by Berry's Grandaughter. The obit that was (John) Berry's son tells of there lives in Botetourt and Roanoke Va and gives a reference as to the Crowder family ancestory. The other letter was written in 1854. Mailed back to Va telling of their trip and what they indured. Some days I feel like I can not go on and then I remember why I started this research in the first place. My father loved his family and while he lay dying of cancer in the VA hospital he said,"It is your right to join the DAR you are a daughter of the American Revolution." In 1944 he landed in Normandy at 26 he marched through the Arch of Triumph in France. Now just look what this Crowder daughter can do. Today I start again. Sincerely, Patricia
