Just a couple corrections on my last message about the Crowders of Appanoose Co., Iowa. Joseph and Elizabeth's daughter Sarah was probably "Sarah Ann Crowder," not Sarah J. Crowder as I mistakenly wrote. She's sometimes known as "Sarah Mildred Crowder," but I believe Ann was her middle name. Joseph's second wife was Martha J. [maiden name unknown]. She's sometimes known as "Martha Defrantz," but there's no proof that that was her maiden name. Joseph and Martha's son was named Isaac H. Crowder. Isaac was married twice and had at least three children.
