Trying to find family of Andrew? Nelson Crowder who says he was born in Tennessee about 1794. He was bound out when 6 years old to a man named Shields who supposedly later moved to Georgia. Nelson's parents supposedly dead by then. He enlisted in War of 1812 at Winchester, Tenn and after getting out he came here to Missouri. He possibly knew his wife's family (Cogdill) before coming here.
