Hi Pat,
Check out Revolutionary War Records, Mecklenburg County, Va by Katherine B. Elliott, pages 47 & 48 in your state genealogical liberary. This book lists the patriots and soldiers. Your State Liberian should be able to help you.
Bartholomew Crowder (from Franklin Co., NC) has been used for DAR and there is a set of DAR PATRIOT books at your state Library in the genealogy dept.
There is also a book entitled The Reason for the Tears by Lindsey that tells about Bartholomew Crowder's patriot service.
Be sure to use the Bartholomew Crowder that uses his signature as the mark BC . This is our ancestor.
