We would need a verifiable documented Pedigree chart from the male Crow(e) DNA tester back to your Thomas Crow born 1757 in Ireland.
Yes, for this to be a complimentary Crow(e) DNA Study test, the tester must be a living male Crow(e) that carries the surname, without a break in the line back to Thomas Crow (no adoptions, etc.), testing his Y-Chromosome DNA, that was passed from Thomas Crow, born in 1775 in Ireland, on down through his sons and on down to the male Crow(e) tester.
The test is simple.DNA samples are collected by the male Crow(e) tester from his mouth's cheeks in his home, or office. He does this with a cotton tipped instument that is funished with the DNA Collection Kit, re: http://www.familytreedna.com/kit.htmlhttp://www.familytreedna.com/kit.html

Perhaps a living male Crow from another branch your Thomas Crow family could be found?
