Richard said, and asked; "Yes, I realize what your message is about, however I think that you need to also show proof as to John Crow Sr.b 1750/60 marrying E Clarke vs. John Crow b 1740 in Maryland that also is said to have married E. Clarke."
Phillip responded.Where is your proof Richard? My information that the John Crow Sr. that married Elizabeth Clark comes from the many family members ad the two living male descendents of the family of John Crow Sr. that married Elizabeth Clark that tested with us.I have no proof, and they may not either, I do not know. They do not believe, nor do I, that John and Elizabeth Clark Crow were having children in their 50's & 60's, hence, the 1750's and 60's as birth range for both. Also the census records of the John Crow Sr. and Elizabeth Clark line's children, state John Crow Sr was born in SC.
Richard asked:"Where are the documents that show which John Crow married E Clarke?"
Phillip responded: I do not know, if you find them, please let us know.
Richard said: "I do not find a John Crow Sr in the line of James b 1713 even being b in the period of 1750/60,"
Phillip responded: Could that be because there wasn't one?
Richard continues; "there was a son b 1776 in Whitfield Co Ga.,named John, then a John Crow b 1790 07 Feb in NC, sp. Mary Millis b 11 Nov 1793, then a John S Crow b 1797 Orange NC, these are the choices in your time frame."
Phillip responds: Whitfield Co. didn't exist in 1776, so I can not comment on this other family, or subject.
Richard continues: "John Crow b 1740 did have a son John Crow Jr b 1790 SC but this Jr. b 1790 has mother listed as E Clarke"
Phillip responds: Where was this listed, what proof do you have regaring your statement?
Richard continues: "so is this John Crow b 1740 s/o James Crow b 1713 an Aqua and if so then is his spouse E Clarke"
Phillip responds: No.
Richard continues: "and what offer of proof d you have as to who John Crow b 1740 spouse is??
Phillip responds: none, I thought you were from this line and you had the proof, I have none Richard.
Richard, the information I have on the two differnet John Crows comes from the descendents of both lines, and the ones that tested; period.
The two different John Crows are not related, as proven by the descendents information, census records, and now by DNA.
If you care to discuss this further, you'll need to contact some of the researchers, and the descendent, of both the John Crows, the one of NC that is "Aqua" and the one from SC who tested "Yellow".
I don't think I'll be able to help you any further Richard, unless you want to discuss Crow(e) DNA.Good luck to you.
