Is anyone researching these Crows mentioned in these deeds?I have reasons to believe Samuel and Randolph are the same two that show up later in Franklin Co., GA, in the very early 1800's. If they are the same two, they were both born between 1770-1780, not sure where. Samuel Crow purchased land on, or near, the Savannah River in Elbert Co.GA [now Hart Co.] c1818 and about the same time, 20 miles or so west, near Franklin Springs, Franklin Co., GA.
Some searchers have stated Samuel and Randolph are brothers, and that could very well be true, but I've found no proof to support that theory. These searchers also have stated that these two brothers(?) are the sons of John Crow and Ruth Holland, or his second wife, Elizabeth Clark.I find no proof or evidence of this theory either, nor have these searchers produced any documents to support same.
Does anyone have anything at all to prove, or disprove, or add to, any of this? Additioally, does anyone know which James Crow, and how he may be related to Samuel and Randolph Crow on these in 1795 Spartanburg Deed abstracts?
Additional families of interest from Spartanburg SC: William Wilson and son Newman Wilson, Bobos, Caseys, Dollars, Hendrix/Hendricks, Woffords, and others.
