Did a bit more digging and found the following:John Van Crow is buried in the Orfitt Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas.LDS Record:# AFN: QS2J-0S and Microfilm Submission: #AF92-101251.
The information on John and family was submitted by Jan Davenport and references to this family (dated back to Thomas) can be found in "A History of Whitfield County, Georgia."I also discovered that Sam's complete name was Samuel Lewis Crow 5-9-1869 to 2-3-1944, born in Whitfield, Ga. and dying in Grayson County, Texas.The other children of John Van Crow, besides Sam, included:Molley 1871; Maggie 1873; Florence 1875 (last three children born in Texas); Ella 1877; Georgia 1879; and William Rufus 1881.
