Nathan Crouse was born 1830 (according to the 1860 census of Center Twp Greene Co PA) He fought and died in the Civil War. (somewhere I have the pension application Catherine filed for on behalf of her children)
Catherine's maiden name was Stewart and yes, after Nathan Crouse died she then married a Daniel Stewart. So she was Catherine Stewart Crouse Stewart. (is it any wonder folks get confused?) Hang on..it's about to get more so..
The 1860 census shows the following children living in the household: Mary Jane age 6, Rachel Sellers age 4 and William T. Sellers age 2. (Lenora wasn't born till 1865). There was a large Crouse family living next door and with them was a farm hand, age 60 named Levi Sellers! One would assume him to be the grandfather of said Rachel and William T. (parents died in an epidemic and the Sellers children were raised by Nathan and Catherine???) Does the T. in William T stand for Thomas? See what I mean?
If you are anywhere near Greene Co PA maybe you can spend some time in the local Historical Society or Genealogy library? I can try to dig out the pension application papers if you like. I do recall that at least two children were mentioned as being Nathan's but don't now recall who.
